The selected candidate will work closely with the Base Engineering Supervisor and will be instrumental in ensuring the effective design and execution of engineering standards for facility projects. This role involves collaboration with multiple departments to facilitate project development from conception to operational readiness.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with Project Engineers and other stakeholders to create and implement facility infrastructure strategies.
  • Provide troubleshooting and optimization assistance for Instrumentation and Electrical systems.
  • Support the execution and commissioning of facility enhancements.
  • Contribute to the scope of work, design, cost estimation, and procurement processes for Base Facility Projects.
  • Develop technical documentation including specifications, diagrams, and schedules.
  • Offer electrical engineering expertise in areas such as Electrical Areas Classification and Power Distribution Management.
  • Collaborate with designers to produce wiring diagrams and installation details.
  • Adhere to the Management of Change (MOC) Process and participate in safety reviews.
  • Conduct Risk Assessments and Process Hazard Analyses.
  • Monitor project progress and reconcile costs with forecasts.
  • Propose innovative solutions to meet project timelines and budget constraints.
  • Establish programs to maintain Instrumentation and Electrical equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with Corporate and Industry Engineering Standards.
  • Provide feedback on facility compliance with Electrical Codes.
  • Oversee Engineering Contractors and support programming for control systems.
  • Exhibit strong values and be recognized as a technical authority within the organization.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Instrumentation, Controls, or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the Instrumentation and Electrical sector.
  • 5+ years of experience in the oil and gas industry.
  • Experience collaborating with various engineering disciplines.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects effectively.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary to support field operations.
  • Ability to travel approximately 20% annually.
