Job Summary:

We are looking for a sales professional with a strong understanding of the machine tool industry and a passion for building relationships with customers. As a Sales Associate, you will be responsible for providing sales support to our capital sales team, identifying and cultivating relationships with technology partners, and maintaining an in-depth knowledge of machine tool industry and product lines represented by the company.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers to ensure all their needs are met from pre-sale through complete integration of new machine tools.
  • Act as the central knowledge base for accessories, including work holding and tooling.
  • Respond to customer or field staff's inputs, product requests, and application issues.
  • Identify and cultivate relationships with technology partners to support customers and field staff.
  • Maintain involvement with customer-related projects to support future technology improvements, deadlines, and budgets.
Requirements:
  • Completion of either a manufacturing trade school certificate program, a two-year college degree, or work equivalent.
  • Some working knowledge and understanding of CNC machine technology and applications.
  • Basic manufacturing technology, tooling, and part inspection is desired.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to interpret instructions provided in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Frequent travel throughout a regional sales territory is necessary.

  • Ability to keep their composure with the public and co-workers in everyday, stressful situations.
