Job DescriptionThe successful candidate will oversee the converting department, ensuring that all production goals are met efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards. They will be responsible for managing crews, conducting safety meetings, and promoting company expectations regarding safety, quality, and production.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, including safety protocols and good housekeeping practices.
- Manage daily operations within the converting department, working closely with crews to optimize efficiency and productivity.
- Conduct regular safety meetings and promote a positive safety culture.
- Maintain accurate records of production data and report any issues or concerns to management.
- Develop and implement process improvements to enhance overall performance and efficiency.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A minimum of 3-5 years of supervisor experience in the corrugated industry.
- Strong knowledge of flexo and die-cutter equipment, as well as specialty folder gluers and laminators.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and direct teams.
- A solid understanding of safety policies and regulations, including LOTO (Lockout/Tagout).
- Familiarity with high-quality standards, including ink management and caliper checking.
