Position Overview

Role Summary: The Production Associate I is responsible for supporting the manufacturing process through various essential tasks aimed at ensuring quality and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Trained to effectively execute basic machinery setup and operation, including adjustments to camera settings and profiles as per provided guidelines.
  • Reviews production instructions and verifies that outputs align with specifications and samples before final approval.
  • Capable of accurately retrieving and/or confirming materials required for production runs according to specified instructions.
  • Conducts quality assessments on mailing standards and promptly escalates any issues, errors, or machine irregularities.
  • Adheres to standard operating procedures for material handling, tray inspections, alignment, and other operational tasks.
  • Balances and reconciles production output to ensure accuracy and quality standards are met.
  • Efficiently stacks, trays, or palletizes finished products and prepares them for subsequent processing as directed.
  • Performs routine machine clean-up and basic maintenance tasks as outlined in the operating procedures.
  • Accurately returns inventory and maintains a tidy workspace for each production run.
  • Communicates potential downtime opportunities to management and actively contributes to the overall production workflow.
  • Completes additional duties as assigned within the department or subdivision.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED is preferred.
  • Must possess a valid State-issued Driver's License or Identification Card relevant to the state of employment.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Exhibits a positive team-oriented attitude with the ability to follow directions and assist colleagues professionally.
  • Ability to comprehend, learn, apply, and retain fundamental operational procedures for equipment operation.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail; capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proficient in counting, balancing counts, and addressing issues beyond basic troubleshooting capabilities.
  • Basic data entry skills are essential.
  • Familiarity with computer and touch screen interfaces.
  • Able to navigate applications on desktop or mobile devices that involve selecting, clicking, and scrolling actions.

Physical Requirements: (Applicable to all levels)

  • Demonstrates multi-limb coordination and eye-hand coordination.
  • Able to stand, bend, reach, stoop, and lift boxes weighing up to 35 lbs.
  • Capable of lifting and moving materials for approximately 50% of the workday.
  • Able to walk and stand throughout the entire workday.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.
