Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Nursing Assistant to join our team at Methodist Medical Center. As a Nursing Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our nursing staff.

Responsibilities:

• Assist patients with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and using the bathroom
• Take and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, and blood pressure
• Help patients move around and transfer to different locations
• Assist with feeding and hydration, including distributing meal trays and passing out water pitchers
• Provide morning and evening care, including bed baths, oral hygiene, and dressing patients
• Empty drains, canisters, and bedpans, and record intake and output
• Maintain a safe environment by reporting equipment issues and handling linen and supplies properly
• Assist with phlebotomy and EKG procedures, as needed
• Respond to patient call lights and requests in a timely manner
• Report any changes in patient condition to the RN or Team Leader

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred
• Hospital experience a plus, with medical terminology a strong asset
• Ability to operate a computer and possess excellent interpersonal skills
• Must be able to read with comprehension, write legibly, and perform basic arithmetic computation
• Tennessee State CNA certification required, with CPR certification also necessary
