Job Title: Application Developer

We are seeking an experienced Application Developer to join our team at Embrace Software Inc.

The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Statistical Process Control (SPC) and a strong background in process engineering within the manufacturing industry.

The role involves working closely with customers to understand their process optimization needs and develop valuable solutions using our products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Collaboration:
    • Partner with clients to thoroughly understand/analyze their manufacturing processes, challenges, and goals.
    • Translate client needs into clear, actionable, and prioritized technical requirements.
    • Act as a solution architect to design and implement SPC solutions using our products that align with client objectives and industry best practices.
  • Solution Development:
    • Utilize deep knowledge of SPC methodologies to develop effective solutions for process optimization.
    • Perform uni-variate multivariate process analysis to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement.
    • Integrate SPC solutions with data from multiple systems, including Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) and process historians.
  • Technical Implementation, Support & Training:
    • Lead the deployment of SPC software within clients' manufacturing environments.
    • Coordinate with client IT and engineering teams to facilitate efficient integration, implementation/deployment.
    • Provide expert-level support and training to customers on the use of our products.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    • Work closely with internal teams - including product development, sales, and customer support - to ensure successful project execution.
    • Provide insights from customer interactions to inform product enhancements and development strategies.
    • Propose and implement enhancements to software solutions and processes based on industry trends and client feedback.
Requirements
  • Experience in industries such as Chemical, Pharmaceutical, Food & Beverage, or similar manufacturing sectors.
  • Experience with our products or other SPC software solutions.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial, or related field). An advanced degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience as a process engineer in a medium to large manufacturing company.
  • Extensive experience with SPC methodologies and tools in a manufacturing context.
  • Proven expertise in performing multivariate process analysis.
  • Strong understanding of process historians and LIMS systems.
  • Familiarity with data analysis and visualization tools.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities with a strong focus on data-driven decision-making.
  • Ability to analyze complex processes and translate findings into actionable improvements.
  • Strong customer service orientation with the ability to build and maintain long-term client relationships.
