Occupational Therapist Job Description

At Veracity, we are seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in occupational therapy and a passion for helping individuals achieve independence and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough assessments to identify occupational therapy needs and develop personalized care plans.
  • Deliver and document occupational therapy interventions, including the use of devices, techniques, and activities to promote muscle re-education, perceptual-motor and cognitive function, balance, endurance, and other factors affecting independence in daily living activities.
  • Supervise and train therapy assistants, including providing instruction and guidance needed to implement functional maintenance programs.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support smooth care transitions and participate in end-of-life care coordination and support.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Two years of occupational therapy experience in a clinical setting with a frail or elderly population.
  • Two years of supervisory experience with demonstrated ability to mentor and develop team members.
  • Registration from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy.
  • Licensed and/or eligible for licensure as required in the state of employment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with a frail or elderly population.
