Radiologic Technologist Per Diem Job Description

At Concentra, we are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team on a per diem basis. As a Radiologic Technologist, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to our patients by performing routine x-ray examinations and supporting medical procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare patients for radiologic procedures, including escorting them to dressing and x-ray rooms and providing verbal and/or written instructions.
  • Operate radiologic equipment to produce images of the body for diagnostic purposes, ensuring patient care, safety, and comfort during the x-ray exam.
  • Use radiation safety measures and protection devices to ensure the safety of patients and team members.
  • Ensure radiologic equipment remains in working order and report equipment malfunctions to the Center Operations Director.
  • Follow all Radiology workflows and ensure accurate documentation of patient x-ray visits.
Medical Assistant Duties:
  • Perform Department of Transportation (DOT) and Non-DOT drug and alcohol testing.
  • Prepare patients for physical examinations, including taking vital signs and any required or requested ancillary testing.
  • Perform rapid screening tests, assist providers during examinations and treatment, and apply bandages, dressings, and splints as ordered by the treating clinician.
  • Dispense medications and DME as ordered by the treating clinician in accordance with state regulations.
  • Complete quality assurance activities on equipment and medical devices, maintain supplies, clean rooms and equipment, and stock exam rooms.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology and applicable certification by the state in which employed.
  • Registered with The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and has active and valid certification.
  • CPR/First Aid Certification.
  • At least six months or more of medical assistant experience with knowledge of medical procedures and medical terminology.
