Job Title: Certified Surgical Technologist

Nurses First Solutions is seeking a skilled Certified Surgical Technologist to join our team for a travel position in Mooresville, North Carolina.

Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized Certified Surgical Technologist to assist our surgical team in preparing the operating room for surgery. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare the operating room for surgery by ensuring all necessary equipment, supplies, and instruments are available and in good working condition.
  • Assist the surgical team by passing instruments, sponges, and other items needed during surgery.
  • Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and adjust instruments and equipment accordingly.
  • Maintain a sterile environment in the operating room by following strict infection control procedures.
  • Transport patients to and from the operating room and position them on the operating table.
  • Assist with the preparation and application of sterile dressings and bandages.
  • Document procedures and maintain accurate records of supplies and equipment used.
  • Clean and sterilize instruments and equipment after surgery.
Requirements
  • Current certification as a Certified Surgical Technologist.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to maintain a sterile environment and follow strict infection control procedures.
