About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician I to join our team at Cardinal Health. As a Pharmacy Technician I, you will play a critical role in supporting our pharmacists in the daily operations of the pharmacy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist pharmacists in filling prescription orders as permitted by State Boards of Pharmacy.
  • Prepare medication for dispensing, packaging, and shipment.
  • Take inventory, place orders, check in drugs and supplies, stock shelves, and remove out-of-date items from the inventory.
  • Enter medical supply orders in the pharmacy system.
  • Communicate with all customers (patients, clinics, caregivers, physicians) in an amicable and professional manner.
  • Process returned medications from the facility for credit or destruction.
  • Input patient data and prescription information into the pharmacy information management system.
  • Maintain knowledge of and abide by all applicable pharmacy laws and regulations.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Massachusetts pharmacy technician in training license or ability to obtain licensure.
  • Ability to use technology such as computers, smartphones, and tablets.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint preferred.
  • Ability to work well in a team.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Strong customer service skills.
