Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomist II to join our team at Quest Diagnostics. As a Phlebotomist II, you will be responsible for collecting specimens from patients, administering oral solutions, and performing various laboratory tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect specimens from patients in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Administer oral solutions to patients as required.
  • Verify patient information and test orders using lab technology systems.
  • Enter data accurately and navigate computer systems.
  • Process specimens, including labeling, centrifuging, and preparing for transport.
  • Perform non-patient facing duties, such as inventory management and sanitizing equipment.
  • Read and comply with departmental policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Three years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
  • Keyboard/data entry experience.
  • Flexible availability, including weekends, holidays, and overtime.
  • Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and clean driving record (if applicable).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Medical training, such as medical assistant or paramedic training.
  • Phlebotomy certification.
