Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomist II to join our team at Quest Diagnostics. As a Phlebotomist II, you will be responsible for collecting specimens from patients, administering oral solutions, and performing various laboratory tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collect specimens from patients in a timely and efficient manner.
- Administer oral solutions to patients as required.
- Verify patient information and test orders using lab technology systems.
- Enter data accurately and navigate computer systems.
- Process specimens, including labeling, centrifuging, and preparing for transport.
- Perform non-patient facing duties, such as inventory management and sanitizing equipment.
- Read and comply with departmental policies and procedures.
Requirements:
- Three years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
- Keyboard/data entry experience.
- Flexible availability, including weekends, holidays, and overtime.
- Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and clean driving record (if applicable).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Medical training, such as medical assistant or paramedic training.
- Phlebotomy certification.
