Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist to join our team in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. As a critical care specialist, you will provide exceptional patient care and work collaboratively with our healthcare team to deliver high-quality respiratory therapy services.

Responsibilities
  • Administer therapeutic treatments as prescribed by attending medical staff, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of care.
  • Record treatment information and patient responses in their electronic medical record, maintaining accurate and up-to-date documentation.
  • Act as a resource person to medical staff, providing expert guidance and support to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Perform invasive and non-invasive diagnostic testing and monitoring of patients, utilizing advanced respiratory equipment and techniques.
  • Provide age-appropriate care to patients, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for all.
  • Maintain necessary respiratory therapy records, adhering to regulatory requirements and hospital policies.
  • Participate in the quick response team for cardiac and respiratory arrests, demonstrating expertise and professionalism in high-pressure situations.
Requirements
  • Two years of respiratory care experience in a critical care setting, with a strong focus on patient-centered care.
  • Knowledge of procedures and techniques of Respiratory Therapy, as well as the operation and repair of respiratory equipment.
  • Clinical decision-making skills, with the ability to interpret patient information and identify needs.
  • Some computer skills, with the ability to navigate electronic medical records and other healthcare software.
  • Graduation from an approved Respiratory Care Program, with a strong foundation in respiratory therapy principles and practices.
  • Licensed by the Oklahoma Board of Medical Licensure and Supervision as a Respiratory Care Practitioner, with current registration by the National Board of Respiratory Care.
  • Current Basic Life Support issued by the American Heart Association, with Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support certification within 3 months of hire.
