Role Summary

As a Radiology Nursing Specialist, you will work under the indirect supervision of the Director of Imaging Services, adhering to unit and hospital policies. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting patient assessments and developing individualized care plans.
  • Implementing and evaluating nursing care for patients in the radiology department.
  • Collaborating with healthcare team members to ensure exceptional patient care.
  • Administering medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  • Overseeing the care provided by non-licensed personnel.
  • Performing technical services to meet patient needs effectively.
  • Assuming responsibility for patient specimen testing and quality control.
Qualifications


• 1 – 3 years of nursing experience required.
• 2 years of critical care or imaging experience preferred.
• Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Current State of Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license or Compact Registered Nursing License required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required.
