Role Summary
As a Radiology Nursing Specialist, you will work under the indirect supervision of the Director of Imaging Services, adhering to unit and hospital policies. Your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting patient assessments and developing individualized care plans.
- Implementing and evaluating nursing care for patients in the radiology department.
- Collaborating with healthcare team members to ensure exceptional patient care.
- Administering medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Overseeing the care provided by non-licensed personnel.
- Performing technical services to meet patient needs effectively.
- Assuming responsibility for patient specimen testing and quality control.
• 1 – 3 years of nursing experience required.
• 2 years of critical care or imaging experience preferred.
• Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Current State of Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license or Compact Registered Nursing License required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required.
