Van Driver Opportunity

Beacon Mobility is seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Van Driver to transport school-aged children to and from educational settings. As a Van Driver, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of our students.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Safely operate a motor vehicle, adhering to all State and Federal traffic laws, while driving school-aged children.
  • Assist students as needed, including helping them enter and exit the vehicle, using the vehicle's lap and shoulder belts, and safely securing them in car seats and booster seats.
  • Communicate effectively and clearly in English with students, parents, teachers, and staff.
  • Utilize a two-way radio system to communicate with dispatch and other drivers.
Requirements:
  • Age 21+ and have had a driver's license for 3+ consecutive years.
  • Satisfactory Driving Record (no suspension, etc.).
  • Ability to pass a background check, CORI, and SORI.
  • Effectively communicate in English (spoken and written).
  • A school pupil transport license (7D certificate). We will assist you in obtaining this license.
What We Offer:
  • 20-25 hours per week.
  • $23/hour with school year assignment, training rate of $20/hr.
  • Split Shifts- 5:30am-9:00am & 1:00pm-5:00pm (example only, exact hours depend on assigned route).
  • No commute; the van goes home with you (if you have secure parking).

  • Paid classroom and on-the-job training.
