Responsibilities
  • Participate in infection control and risk management activities
  • Guide new patients through a comprehensive education plan
  • Monitor patients during dialysis and document changes
  • Set up and break down dialysis equipment
  • Insert and remove patient access needles
  • Calculate patient weight loss to reach dry weight
  • Determine patient care priorities and organize workload
  • Maintain professional relationships and patient privacy
  • Perform laboratory work and track inventory
