We're seeking a highly skilled Blood Collection Specialist to join our team at ProHealth Physicians, part of the Optum family of businesses. As a member of our community-based medical group, you'll play a vital role in sustaining the health and well-being of our community.

Work Schedule:

Full-time position, Monday-Friday, 7:30a-4:00p. Travel to other sites may be required.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Collect blood samples from patients while maintaining infection control protocols
  2. Accurately label and identify specimens for further testing
  3. Verify demographic information and update insurance details as needed
  4. Schedule tests, treatments, and follow-up visits on behalf of patients
  5. Maintain oversight of temperature monitoring in coordination with Regional Nurse Managers
  6. Collaborate with care teams to ensure smooth office operations and deliver exceptional service
  7. Demonstrate respect for patients and colleagues through a friendly, courteous demeanor and maintain patient confidentiality
  8. Stay up-to-date with current coding, OSHA, and CLIA regulations and company policies
  9. Adhere to patient safety initiatives and infection control guidelines
