At NextSense, our mission is to revolutionize brain health through innovative wearable technologies. We're seeking a skilled Senior ML/Research Scientist to join our team and contribute to developing next-generation biosensing earbuds. This role will play a crucial part in advancing our technology by designing, implementing, and leading research to create novel digital biomarkers and applications for various neurological conditions.
About the Job:
As a Senior ML/Research Scientist, you'll collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of scientists, medical specialists, HW/SW engineers, and product managers to translate fundamental scientific knowledge into clinical and consumer products. Your responsibilities will include designing and executing cutting-edge research to advance our biosensing earbud technology, applying signal processing and machine learning to decode biosignals, and contributing to the implementation of data analysis pipelines for large-scale physiological signals from clinical studies.
Responsibilities:
- Design and execute research projects to advance biosensing earbud technology
- Apply machine learning and signal processing techniques to analyze biosignals
- Develop algorithms for automated detection of healthy and pathological neural signatures
- Contribute to the development of data analysis pipelines for large-scale physiological signals
- Collaborate with engineering and product teams to integrate research findings into prototypes and products
Qualifications:
- Masters in computational neuroscience, systems neuroscience, bioengineering, bioinformatics, computer science, or related fields/experience
- Strong Python programming skills and experience with machine learning libraries
- Experience with cloud-based platforms (GCP preferred)
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Prior experience in neurotechnology development and publishing research papers
Salary Estimate: $180,000 - $220,000 per year
