The Lead Analyst will report directly to the Director of FP&A and will be expected to be present in the office twice a week.

Key Responsibilities of the Lead Financial Planning Analyst:

  • Assist in the annual budgeting and forecasting cycle, collaborating with department leaders and senior management to create and monitor comprehensive budgets.
  • Maintain intricate financial models and forecasts while proactively identifying, recommending, and implementing enhancements to support both short-term and long-term strategic objectives.
  • Oversee month-end closing processes, prepare and analyze monthly profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports to deliver insightful financial reviews.
  • Examine and interpret actual financial outcomes against projections to drive continuous improvements in forecasting techniques.
  • Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) to positively influence business outcomes and monitor growth initiatives.
  • Enhance reporting and communication of goals and performance metrics across the organization.
  • Assess current processes and tools to promote efficiencies and value-added improvements.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in Finance or Accounting.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and financial modeling.
  • Experience with financial systems (e.g., SAP, D365), planning tools (e.g., Hyperion, Planful), and data visualization software (e.g., Looker, Tableau).
  • Strong grasp of accounting principles and financial statement analysis fundamentals.

Compensation Overview:

Our salary ranges are designed to be competitive within our industry and reflect our commitment to a comprehensive rewards program that includes benefits, bonuses, equity, and various professional development opportunities. Pay decisions are influenced by multiple factors, including role scope, qualifications, experience, skill set, and internal equity. We anticipate that most candidates offered positions at Away will fall within the established salary range.
  • Salary Range: $98,000 - $106,000 annually.
  • This position is eligible for participation in Away's Annual Company Performance Bonus Plan, with terms determined annually at the company's discretion.
  • Equity Grant: commensurate with level as determined by the company.
