Job Summary

As a Business Intelligence Developer II at Dallas County, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining business intelligence reports and dashboards to support the county's business needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop complex technical data visualizations, dashboards, and reports using MS Power BI Stack and other BI tools.
  • Collaborate with key business stakeholders to devise new ways to measure and predict future business performance.
  • Work closely with IT staff and other department staff to translate business requirements into stories, tasks, and subtasks.
  • Apply system updates and patches, and maintain program customization details.
  • Facilitate process to ensure data continuity and resolve any errors and maintenance issues.
Requirements
  • Education and experience equivalent to a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, Mathematics, Business, Engineering, or related field.
  • Four (4) years of related work experience using MS Power BI Stack or other BI tools.
  • Strong experience utilizing tools and systems on the MS SQL Server BI Stack, including SSRS, SSIS, SSAS, T-SQL, Power Pivot, Power BI, Power Query, MDX, and DAX.
  • Ability to quickly stage & shape data from data warehouses into reporting and analytics solutions.
  • Proficiency with SSAS Tabular models, Power BI reports and Dashboards, and writing T-SQL queries and stored procedures.
Working Conditions

This position requires the ability to work independently and as part of a team, and to effectively communicate both orally and in writing.

On-call 24/7, typically works in a standard office environment and non-standard environment.
