We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Specialist to join our team at CenterLight Health System. As a key member of our pharmacy team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our pharmacy services.
Key Responsibilities- Review daily rejected claim reports to identify and resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Communicate with providers and pharmacies to resolve claim issues and provide formulary alternatives.
- Assist dispensing pharmacies with claim issues and provide support as needed.
- Analyze and identify inappropriately paid and denied claims to prevent financial implications.
- Act as a liaison between the clinical pharmacy department and other internal departments to ensure seamless communication.
- Generate and distribute reports to the Pharmacy Management team and other programs as needed.
- Provide support to the pharmacy team on different clinical programs, including care coordination with pharmacy/providers, record keeping/tracking, and reporting.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; Pharmacy Technician Certification is preferred; Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
- 2-5 years of Retail Pharmacy, Health Plan, and/or PBM experience preferred.
- Expert level proficiency with Microsoft applications, including use of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Self-motivated, with demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- High level of integrity as demonstrated by appropriate treatment of confidential information, adherence to policies, procedures, rules, and regulations, professional conduct in dealing with persons internal and external to the organization, and sensitivity towards target population.
This is a full-time position, working 40 hours per week, with a schedule of 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM. The individual must be able to sustain certain physical requirements essential to the job, including standing, sitting, lifting, bending, and climbing stairs.
