The Registered Nurse for the Operating Room is responsible for the following:
- Overseeing and coordinating patient care within a designated surgical suite.
- Managing time, resources, and personnel to ensure optimal surgical outcomes.
- Addressing patient requirements during the surgical admission process, particularly in an Ambulatory Surgery Center environment.
- Delivering nursing care tailored to the patient's surgical condition and the type of anesthesia utilized.
- Ensuring adherence to established protocols and procedures in line with professional standards.
- Assisting in the management of inventory for supplies, medications, and equipment to ensure readiness and availability.
Qualifications Required
Position: Registered Nurse - Operating Room
Employment Type: Full-Time with Flexible Shifts
To qualify for the Registered Nurse position in the Operating Room, candidates must meet the following criteria:
Educational Background
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program is mandatory.
- A Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is preferred.
- Specialty certification is advantageous.
Professional Experience
- A minimum of one year of clinical experience as an Operating Room Staff RN is essential.
Licensure and Certifications
- Current Registered Nurse license is required.
- Basic Life Support certification must be obtained upon hire.
- ACLS certification is required at the time of hire.
- PALS certification is to be achieved within six months of employment.
- CNOR certification is preferred.
Compensation: Competitive hourly rate based on experience.
