Long-term Substitute Teacher

We are seeking a qualified Long-term Substitute Teacher to join our team at Frederick County Public Schools. As a Long-term Substitute Teacher, you will be responsible for providing instructional support to students in a classroom setting.

The Long-term Substitute Teacher will be responsible for:

• Providing instructional support to students in a classroom setting
• Developing and implementing lesson plans to meet the needs of students
• Assessing student progress and adjusting instruction accordingly
• Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment
• Communicating effectively with students, parents, and colleagues

To be considered for this position, you must have:

• An Associate's degree or 60 college credits
• Experience working with students in a classroom setting
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Possession of a Bachelor's or Master's degree from an accredited institution is preferred. Additionally, experience working in a school setting and proficiency in a second language are desirable.

The Long-term Substitute Teacher will work in a moderate noise environment with occasional exposure to physical demands such as standing, walking, and lifting.
