Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Intensivist NP to join our team at Advocate Aurora Health in Oshkosh. As a critical care specialist, you will be responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, and managing acute, critical, and chronic patient illnesses and diseases in both outpatient and inpatient settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate patient data to determine management and treatment plans
  • Prescribe medication, therapy, and treatments as needed
  • Perform minor surgeries and routine procedures
  • Consult with physicians as necessary
  • Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic studies
  • Adjust patient care plans based on treatment outcomes
  • Counsel and educate patients on physical and mental health
  • Provide care coordination and manage ancillary services
  • Prescribe and regulate pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic therapies
Requirements
  • Master's Degree in Nursing
  • Advanced Practice Nurse Prescriber license in the state of Wisconsin
  • Nurse Practitioner (ANCC) certification or equivalent
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • DEA registration
Working Conditions

This role requires the ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and twist continuously throughout the workday. The incumbent must also be able to lift up to 50 lbs from the floor to waist, lift up to 20 lbs over the head, and carry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distance.

The successful candidate will be exposed to mechanical, electrical, chemical, and radiation hazards, as well as blood and body fluids. Protective clothing and equipment must be worn as necessary.
