We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Veterinary Medical Director to join our team at W3Global Inc. As a key leader, you will be responsible for aligning our strategic plan and objectives with veterinary practice excellence.
Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Clinical Practice
- Lead the clinical practice and continue to practice medicine while overseeing the day-to-day operations related to medical care and treatment.
- Manage and oversee the training, organization, supervision, evaluation, and accountability of DVMs within the practice.
- Quality of Care and Client Experience
- Set the highest standard of care and work with doctor teams to achieve that standard.
- Deliver a high level of all aspects of veterinary care to companion animals.
- Reporting and Collaboration
- Reports directly to the Regional Medical Director, with a dotted line to the Regional Vice President for Operations and Operations Director.
- Collaborate with these individuals to drive superior outcomes in terms of quality of care, client and DVM experience, and financial success.
- Mentorship and Development
- Mentor and assist associate veterinarians to ensure medical proficiency, surgical proficiency, client communication, medical charting, and charging for services.
- Hold themselves and other DVMs accountable and provide mentorship.
- Operational Excellence
- Manage doctors, medical standards of the practice, and mentorship of associate DVMs.
- Strive to meet medical standards set forth in AAHA Standards for Accreditation or VECCS Standards for ER Facilities as guidelines for best practice.
- Client and Community Relationship
- Develop a strong client and community relationship.
- Leadership and Teamwork
- Act as a key leader on the practice's leadership and medical teams.
- Coach and provide constructive feedback to doctors, managers, technicians, and veterinary assistants.
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) degree required.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a practicing Veterinarian.
- Preferred 3+ years of experience directing a veterinary team.
- Previous experience with multisite clinic responsibility, preferably with a veterinarian practice consolidator.
- Previous experience with presenting continuing education, professional organization leadership, boards, and other professional leadership roles preferred.
