Position Overview:

The Audio Visual Specialist is responsible for the effective setup and maintenance of audio-visual equipment across campus facilities. This role requires a proactive approach to managing multimedia resources to ensure seamless operation during events.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install and maintain audio-visual and related technology as needed.
  • Address urgent technical issues during live events or classes.
  • Oversee the functionality of all multimedia equipment.
  • Collaborate with event planners to tailor audio-visual services to specific event requirements and resolve any technical challenges.
  • Deliver exceptional customer support to both internal staff and external clients regarding audio-visual and IT assistance.
  • Advise on enhancements to audio-visual setups to optimize user experience.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of experience in audio-visual support for live events.
  • Proficient understanding of computer systems necessary for user assistance.
  • Familiarity with Extron or Crestron systems is advantageous.
  • Experience in PC imaging and management tools (SCCM or InTune preferred).

Skills and Attributes:

  • Strong commitment to customer service excellence.
  • Ability to engage with users of varying levels of audio-visual proficiency.
  • Knowledge of audio-visual technologies for both in-person and hybrid events (e.g., Zoom or Teams).
  • Highly organized with a keen attention to detail.
  • Capable of working independently during non-standard hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Basic understanding of Active Directory.
  • Experience troubleshooting and supporting Office 365 and Microsoft applications.
  • Ability to provide remote assistance via online platforms or phone.

Compensation:

The salary range for this position is $70,000 to $80,000.
