The ideal candidate will have experience in circulating in the OR, participating in setting standards for patient care and nursing practice, and taking OR call to ensure coverage at all times. They will also be responsible for functioning as a surgical nurse for surgical procedures, documenting completely and legibly the surgical record, and maintaining proficiency in proper aseptic technique in the operating room.
The Preoperative Registered Nurse will also be responsible for recovering patients as needed, maintaining all necessary supplies and equipment, and setting up the PACU to receive patients at all times. They will also be responsible for pre-op preparation of patients per physician's orders, initiating IV lines, and completing all pre-op preparation of patients.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. They will also have a strong commitment to providing high-quality patient care and a passion for delivering exceptional patient outcomes.
