Job Summary:

The Commonwealth of Virginia is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head Coach to lead our Men's Soccer team. As a key member of our athletic department, you will be responsible for the overall direction and success of the team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Recruit and retain top talent to build a competitive team
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive coaching plan to achieve team goals
  • Manage team scheduling, game day operations, and travel arrangements
  • Ensure compliance with National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) and Commonwealth of Virginia policies and procedures
  • Collaborate with faculty and staff to support student-athlete academic success

Requirements:

  • Previous college-level experience in playing or coaching soccer
  • Knowledge of fund-raising and recruiting strategies
  • Ability to apply knowledge of college and NJCAA policies and procedures
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Valid driver's license and use of a personal automobile, with the ability to be insured to drive college vehicles

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Soccer head coaching experience on the college level
  • Experience in fund-raising and recruiting student-athletes
