Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Assembler to join our team at Loc Performance. The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling machinery components, such as operating cylinders, electric control cases, transmissions, clutches, and special tools, according to specifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transport specified parts from storage to work area manually or by using overhead crane.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, planning sheets, sketches, and related technical data to determine tooling requirements, setup procedures, control settings, and machining methods and sequences.
  • Brush lubricant on moving parts and fit parts together on bench, following blueprints.
  • Prepare and preset all tools needed for machining operations.
  • Operate machine manually to perform nonautomated functions when machine malfunctions.
  • Discuss errors with supervisor to resolve problems.
  • Clean machine, tooling, and parts.
  • Perform machine maintenance.
  • Bolt, screw, and rivet parts together.
  • Operate hydraulic press to force bearings into sleeves and flatten rivets.
  • Connect electric wires to terminals of subassembly.
  • Move subassembly to storage area.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and two to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Work Environment

The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee may occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
