Hardware Sales Specialist

At Canby Builders Supply, we are seeking a skilled Sales Associate to join our retail team. As a Sales Associate, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and utilizing your knowledge of hardware and lumber products to assist customers with their DIY projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet customers and provide assistance in finding the products they need.
• Process cash, credit card, and charge account transactions.
• Provide excellent customer service and ensure a positive shopping experience.
• Stay up-to-date on sales events and special pricing to ensure accurate transactions.
• Verify credit card transactions and ensure that all checks received are accompanied by the correct identification.
• Be alert to potential theft and notify a manager if suspicious activity is observed.
• Keep the cash counter and area neat and tidy.
• Attend store meetings as required by management.

Requirements:

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Friendly and helpful demeanor.
• Good math skills and ability to learn about building materials.
• Retail Hardware/Lumberyard knowledge and experience a plus.
