We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Full Time Counselor to join our team at BayMark Health Services. As a key member of our residential treatment program, you will play a vital role in helping individuals achieve lasting sobriety through comprehensive care and supportive services.
Key Responsibilities- Facilitate Group and Individual Therapy Sessions: Lead engaging and informative group therapy sessions, as well as one-on-one counseling sessions to support clients in their recovery journey.
- Develop and Implement Treatment Plans: Collaborate with clients to identify goals and develop personalized treatment plans that address their unique needs and challenges.
- Maintain Accurate Client Records: Ensure timely and accurate documentation of client progress, including treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
- Participate in Performance Improvement Initiatives: Contribute to ongoing quality improvement efforts, including data analysis and process improvements to enhance client outcomes.
- Provide Education and Support: Offer educational sessions and support groups to clients, addressing topics such as relapse prevention, coping skills, and healthy relationships.
- Collaborate with Interdisciplinary Team: Work closely with other treatment team members, including medical professionals, to ensure comprehensive care and support for clients.
- Ensure Confidentiality and Professional Boundaries: Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to professional boundaries in all interactions with clients.
- Masters Degree in Counseling or Related Field: Possess a graduate degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or a related field.
- WV Licensed Professional: Hold a current license as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in the state of West Virginia.
- Addiction Counseling Experience: Possess experience working with individuals struggling with addiction, including substance abuse treatment and counseling.
- Strong Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
- Proficiency in MS Office and EHR Systems: Possess working knowledge of Microsoft Office and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
