Job Summary

The OR Specialty Technician provides critical support services to the members of the OR team under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse. This role is responsible for performing Peri-Operative related duties as required, maintaining proper care and storage of supplies, instruments, and equipment used for surgical patient care, and recording and maintaining required documentation for fluid warmers, autoclaves, and room temperature as directed by the OR Manager.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Peri-Operative support services to the OR team, including preparation and maintenance of surgical equipment and supplies.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of fluid warmers, autoclaves, and room temperature as directed by the OR Manager.
  • Assist in the maintenance of a clean and organized OR environment, adhering to infection control and safety protocols.
  • Communicate effectively with OR team members, including nurses, anesthesiologists, and surgeons, to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices and technologies in Peri-Operative care.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced OR environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
