Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Radiology Technician to join our team at UNMC - Nebraska Medical Center. As a Radiology Technician, you will be responsible for operating imaging equipment, preparing patients for exams, and maintaining a safe and clean environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate imaging equipment, such as X-ray machines and CT scanners, to produce high-quality images of patients.
  • Prepare patients for exams by explaining procedures, positioning patients, and ensuring their comfort and safety.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols and guidelines.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective patient care.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest imaging technologies and techniques, participating in ongoing education and training.
Requirements
  • ARRT certification and BLS required.
  • 2 years of experience in radiology or a related field.
  • Level 1 Trauma Center experience required.
  • Experience with PACS equipment required.
  • SURGERY/C-ARM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED.
  • OR ORTHOPEDIC EXPERIENCE REQUIRED.
Work Schedule

Required to work one weekend within a 4-week schedule period. Call required roughly 12-18 hours/month. 12-hour overnights (7p-730a), with alternating weeks. Week 1: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday. Week 2: Friday, Saturday, Sunday. On-call requirements (roughly 12-hours a month).

Local Rule: Traveler must be more than 100 miles from facility. Locals NOT accepted.
