Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Low Voltage Technician to join our team at Flexible Systems. As a key member of our Hardware Services Team, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting low-voltage systems, including structured cabling, access control, and IP surveillance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform cable installation, termination, labeling, testing, and dressing of cabling
  • Install data equipment, including racks, patch panels, cable trays, and J-Hooks
  • Build out MDF/IDF closets and rack and stack network devices as required
  • Troubleshoot and repair existing cabling system issues
  • Install and configure access control systems, including readers, boards, and REX devices
  • Configure users, groups, schedules, doors, and credentials via access control software
  • Install and program DVR recording units and configure analytics, including face detection and recognition, people tracking, motion detection, LPR, intrusion, and perimeter protection

Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of structured cabling, access control, and IP surveillance systems
  • Ability to read blueprints and cable schematics
  • Networking knowledge of routers and switches
  • Ability to drive company vehicles and operate a variety of tools, including hand tools, power tools, ladders, scissor lifts, and test equipment
  • Industry-specific manufacturer and BICSI training and/or certifications a plus
