Job Title: Backend Java Developer

We are seeking a highly skilled Backend Java Developer to join our team at eTek IT Services, Inc. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in designing and developing applications using Java EE platforms along with Angular 8.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, implement, and maintain Java-based components and interfaces
  • Write well-designed, testable, efficient code and ensure designs are in compliance with specifications
  • Prepare and produce releases of software components
  • Support continuous improvements by investigating alternatives and technologies and presenting these for architectural review
  • Support users by developing documentation and assistance tools
  • Complete applications development by coordinating requirements, schedules, and activities; contributing to team meetings; troubleshooting development and production problems across multiple environments and operating platforms
Requirements:
  • 8+ years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or an Advanced Degree in the Computer Science field
  • 4+ years experience designing and developing with front-end technologies (Angular or React)
  • Experience coaching junior and staff-level developers
  • Extensive experience in the full SDLC including delivery
  • 3-5 years experience with Atlassian tool suites BitBucket, Bamboo, JIRA, Confluence
  • Experience using IDE and GIT repositories for code management
  • Understanding of waterfall, Agile, and Scaled Agile (SAFe) methodologies
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-resolution skills
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Java EE platforms and Angular 8
  • Object-Oriented analysis and design using common design patterns
  • Proven leadership in developing web applications using at least one popular web framework (JSF, Wicket, GWT, Springboot)
  • Experience with test-driven development or behavior-driven development
