Sprinkler Service Technician Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Sprinkler Service Technician to join our team at Johnson Controls International. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing top-notch service and repair to our commercial, industrial, and residential clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Receive and respond to service calls from our Service Resource Center, including diagnosing and repairing equipment malfunctions.
  • Communicate effectively with customers and district staff to ensure complete customer satisfaction.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on sprinkler systems, including wet, dry, pre-action, deluge, and fire pumps.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, and operational manuals to diagnose and repair equipment.
  • Participate in a scheduled on-call rotation and be willing to travel as needed.
  • Capable of performing physical labor, including carrying and moving equipment and tools up to 50-70 lbs.
  • Able to work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions, such as climbing ladders, scaffolding, and high lift equipment up to 40 feet.
Requirements:
  • 5 years of documented experience in the Fire Sprinkler/Suppression industry.
  • Experience in reading and interpreting blueprints, submittals, and operational manuals.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, to meet customer requirements.
  • Ability to participate in an on-call rotation schedule and be willing to travel overnight.
  • Demonstrate a high level of customer service and maintain a professional demeanor at all times.
