Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the full life-cycle of construction projects, from initial conception and planning to execution, monitoring, control, and completion.
  • Develop and implement project plans, risk management plans, and project communication plans.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other construction and building specialists.
  • Monitor the progress of construction activities on a regular basis and hold regular status meetings.
  • Ensure all projects are delivered on-time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Manage and maintain project budgets, schedules, and oversee project design.
  • Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors.
  • Perform quality control duties and responsibilities regarding the work being performed.
  • Resolve any problems that may arise due to inclement weather, emergencies or other issues that may cause delay.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, construction crews and suppliers to ensure projects are completed efficiently.
  • Ensure all legal requirements, building and safety codes, safety inspections, city guidelines, and local and state regulations are met.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a construction project management role.
  • Proficiency in construction project management software such as Bluebeam or Procore.
  • Proven ability to manage all aspects of a construction project effectively and efficiently.
  • Strong knowledge of construction materials, processes, and equipment.
  • Exceptional leadership, management, and communication skills.
  • Ability to plan and see the "big picture".
  • Competent in conflict and crisis management.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to read and understand complex architectural and engineering drawings.
  • Detail-oriented with a dedication to improving project efficiency and profitability.
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to build rapport with clients and team members.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent knowledge of relevant rules and regulations as well as quality standards and human resources.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
