Job Summary

As a Senior Psychologist at CAMC Health System, you will assume a leadership role in the delivery of a specific psychological program, ensuring the optimum provision of psychological assessment and treatment for a specific population. Your expertise will be instrumental in providing high-quality care to patients and their families.

Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive psychological assessments, treatments, and education to patients and their families.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, taking into account the unique needs and circumstances of each patient.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination and effective communication.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in psychology, incorporating evidence-based approaches into your work.
  • Conduct regular progress assessments and modify treatment plans as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient assessments, treatments, and consultations.
  • Develop and implement testing methods and techniques for psychological assessment, ensuring the highest level of accuracy and reliability.
  • Establish and maintain protocols for specific treatments and patient groups, ensuring consistency and quality across the organization.
  • Participate in quality assurance initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of quality improvement projects.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Patient Group Knowledge: The successful candidate must possess the knowledge and skills necessary to provide developmentally appropriate assessment, treatment, or care as defined by the department's identified patient ages.

Specifically, the employee must be able to demonstrate competency in:

  • Ability to obtain and interpret information in terms of patient needs.
  • Knowledge of growth and development.
  • Understanding of the range of treatment needed by the patient.

Statement: The employee must demonstrate competency through an initial orientation and ongoing competency validation to independently perform tasks and additional duties as specified in the job description and the unit/department-specific competency checklist.

Education
  • Doctorate Degree (Required)
Experience
  • Preferred: Psychologist, Licensed (Required)
  • Credentialed through Medical Affairs (Required)
