Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Phlebotomist to join our team at Actalent. As a Phlebotomist, you will be responsible for collecting and processing blood and other specimens for laboratory testing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect blood and other specimens from patients using various techniques, including venipuncture and capillary puncture.
  • Label and process specimens according to established procedures.
  • Ensure accurate and timely delivery of specimens to the laboratory for testing.
  • Communicate effectively with patients and healthcare staff to ensure smooth specimen collection and processing.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to OSHA and DEP regulations.
  • Participate in ongoing training and education to stay up-to-date on the latest laboratory procedures and technologies.
Requirements
  • Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed.
  • Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
