The Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) I plays a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care at BJC Healthcare. As a member of the Microbiology team, you will be responsible for processing and testing blood and other specimens, ensuring accurate and timely laboratory results.
Key Responsibilities- Operate laboratory equipment to deliver precise and accurate results
- Perform quality control and troubleshoot instrumentation as needed
- Report results through the laboratory computer system, meeting published turn-around times
- Participate in performance improvement activities and initiatives
- Bachelor's Degree in Physical/Life Science or related field
- No prior experience required, but 5-10 years of experience is preferred
