About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cytotechnologist to join our team at Inova Health System. As a Cytotechnologist, you will play a critical role in the diagnosis of gynecological and non-gynecological specimens.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostic microscopic cytology procedures on gynecological and non-gynecological specimens.
  • Attend fine needle aspirations procedures for Rapid On-Site Evaluation (ROSE).
  • Maintain the overall efficient operation of the department by adhering to technical and scientific standards.
  • Participate in professional growth opportunities to enhance personal, team, and department development.
  • Maintain knowledge of regulatory standards to satisfy compliance requirements.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • Associate's Degree with at least 12 semester hours in science, eight of which are biology
  • Cytotechnologist registry with the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP)
  • No experience required
Work Environment

This role is based at our Fairfax Medical Campus and requires a Monday-Friday, Days schedule with hours from 8am-4:30pm.
