Position Overview
Responsibilities & Duties
- Assist in meeting the emotional, social, physical, and cognitive needs of each child.
- Carry out essential caregiving tasks (e.g., feeding, toileting, changing diapers, dressing).
- Ensure constant supervision of children both indoors and outdoors.
- Support teachers in applying positive behavioral guidance for each child.
- Participate in meetings, training sessions, and professional development as required.
- Provide classroom coverage during breaks and planning periods.
- Help teachers during transitions for meals, activities, and nap times.
- Maintain cleanliness in the classroom and shared areas, including restrooms and outdoor play spaces, in alignment with program goals.
- Sanitize toys and educational resources.
- Set up and clear tables for meals and snacks.
- Organize art supplies and classroom materials.
- Lift items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned.
At La Scuola, the Aide plays a crucial supporting role, expected to deliver high-quality, developmentally appropriate educational assistance to the children.

- For children aged 2-6, the curriculum encompasses music, movement, dramatic play, arts and crafts, social-emotional skills, language development, and foundational concepts in literacy, math, and science.
