  • Verify that purchased metals are accurately classified and coordinate with colleagues to prevent duplicate transactions.
  • Generate transaction tickets for customer payments and perform general administrative tasks such as answering calls and processing paperwork.
  • Be open to cross-training in various roles and assist team members as required.
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned by management.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while delivering exceptional customer service.
  • A minimum of three years of experience in cashiering or customer service, preferably within the scrap metal or construction sectors.
  • Strong capability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to follow written and verbal instructions, multitask, and work independently.
  • Dependable work ethic with a commitment to maintaining an organized workspace.
  • Physical ability to stand or walk for extended periods, up to 12 hours a day.
  • Adaptability to frequent changes in priorities and the ability to complete tasks safely and effectively with minimal supervision.
  • Proficient in computer applications, including Microsoft Excel and Word, with a willingness to learn internal systems.
  • Consistent attendance and reliability are essential.
  • Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and holidays in an industrial setting, including outdoor work in various weather conditions.
