Radiology Imaging Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Radiology Technologist to join our team at SonicJobs. As a Radiology Technologist, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of diagnostic imaging procedures, including radiography, fluoroscopy, and computed tomography (CT) scans.
Key Responsibilities- Obtain complete clinical history and gather examination data to assess for contraindicating conditions.
- Follow established procedures for the administration of contrast media to ensure patient safety and comfort.
- Ensure that all studies have proper patient identification and right and left markers are utilized appropriately.
- Review radiographic images for clinically acceptable results and release patients.
- Respond to emergency situations and provide for the restocking of the crash cart and maintenance of life support equipment.
- Assist other technologists in all modalities when needed.
- Observe patient condition and properly evaluate situations when physician intervention is necessary.
- Verify two unique patient identifiers and correct clinical order prior to performing a procedure.
- Ensure patient's privacy and comfort is accommodated.
- Organize schedule, time, and priorities to ensure required activities are accomplished within designated time frames.
- Follow physician's instructions when assisting with procedures and exams.
- Use critical thinking skills and ask clarifying questions when necessary.
- Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Radiologic Technology.
- ARRT Radiography certification.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Minimum 2 years of experience as an R.T.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to function independently and under pressure while participating in a team environment.
This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to prioritize tasks effectively. The successful candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, and will be able to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
