Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Chemical Dependency Counselor to join our team at the Department of Corrections in Rapid City. As a Chemical Dependency Counselor, you will provide addiction counseling services to adult offenders, including screening and assessment, group counseling, and treatment planning.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide addiction counseling services to adult offenders
  • Screen and assess individuals for behavioral health concerns
  • Develop treatment plans to facilitate effective methods of creating behavior modification and a success plan for recovery
  • Facilitate groups and prepare discharge summaries
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in alcohol and drug abuse studies, counseling, psychology, or related field
  • License in addiction counseling or application for recognition as an Addiction Counselor Trainee within 10 days of hire
  • Experience in the delivery of clinical services
