We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team at RemX - Healthcare Solutions in Martinsville, VA. This position is crucial for ensuring smooth operations within our clinic and will involve working closely with patients in various medical environments.
Key Responsibilities- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.
- Obtain and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Prepare patients for examinations by explaining procedures and providing necessary instructions.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing patient flow, and handling medical billing.
- Support emergency medicine protocols as needed in high-pressure situations.
- Collaborate with other medical staff to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Previous experience in a clinical or hospital setting is preferred, particularly in emergency medicine or medical-surgical environments.
- Ability to provide excellent patient service with empathy and professionalism.
- Familiarity with inpatient care processes is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
