SUMMARY OF JOB PURPOSE
:

The main responsibilities of the Financial Analyst involve supporting the Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) functions for this esteemed industry leader. Key tasks include budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, data modeling, process enhancement, and financial evaluation.

The Financial Analyst will be tasked with establishing vital relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, ensuring compliance, and promoting departmental efficiencies. Additionally, the Financial Analyst will engage in projects that align with new company initiatives. Some of the key responsibilities encompass, but are not limited to:

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage critical financial and operational data reporting.
  • Produce insightful financial reports, including written analyses that highlight key drivers and trends to aid in decision-making. Prepare weekly financial updates for the senior management team.
  • Conduct financial planning activities, including budgets and forecasts. Execute variance analyses and monitor investment returns. Interpret and communicate findings to Senior Financial Leadership and other stakeholders.
  • Participate in quarterly reporting tasks, which include preparing financial statements and analyzing profitability.
  • Collaborate in the development of financial models, engage in cross-functional project teams, and perform analyses to support strategic initiatives.
  • Act as an effective team member, assisting colleagues as necessary and learning from peers and supervisors; support the objectives of the region, division, and organization; demonstrate initiative in the interest of the company and its clients.
  • Carry out other duties and/or responsibilities as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in FP&A.

DESIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Project management skills to lead process improvement initiatives, including automation.
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving capabilities.
  • Data-driven and analytical.
  • Highly organized and accountable for meeting deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for engaging with staff, as well as middle and upper management.
  • Proficient in personal computers, MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint), and familiar with related software.
  • Advanced skills in Excel.
  • Strong situational analysis and decision-making abilities.
