Clinical Decision Unit RN Resident

Cleveland Clinic's Mercy Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) Resident to join our Clinical Decision Unit team. As a RN Resident, you will work alongside experienced caregivers to provide high-quality patient care and develop your nursing skills in a dynamic and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct nursing care to patients in the Clinical Decision Unit, working collaboratively with a success coach to establish and revise priorities for patient care.
- Participate in a residency core curriculum based on individual learning needs, seeking supervision and consultation when necessary.
- Document patient information in medical records, ensuring accurate and timely documentation.
- Respond to data indicating risk to patients' health, initiating action to correct, reduce, or prevent risk.
Requirements:
- Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing.
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
- New graduate RN or less than one year of RN work experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
Physical Requirements:
- Requires full range of body motion, including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination.
- Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time.
- Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
- Requires working under stressful conditions and irregular hours.
- Exposure to communicable diseases and/or body fluids.
Personal Protective Equipment:
- Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
