We are seeking a highly skilled Interventional Radiology Specialist to join our team at SSM Health. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing specialized imaging procedures and assisting radiologists and other healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures, selecting anatomic and technical parameters accurately.
- Administer contrast media and medications within the accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations.
- Monitor patient activity during procedures and report any abnormalities.
- Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines.
- Ensure all activities comply with regulatory agency standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Graduate of a Radiology Program.
- IVR credential preferred.
- No experience required.
- Constant standing and walking.
- Frequent use of vision and depth perception for distances near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more).
- Frequent use of hearing and speech to share information through oral communication.
- Frequent use of hearing to distinguish body sounds and/or hear alarms, malfunctioning machinery, etc.
- Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs.
- Frequent lifting/moving of patients.
- Frequent reaching, gripping and keyboard use/data entry.
- Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 25-50 lbs.
- Occasional use of vision to identify and distinguish colors.
- Occasional bending, stooping, squatting, twisting and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements.
- Rare kneeling and sitting.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Instructor - American Heart Association (AHA).
- ARRT-R Radiography - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
This position is located in a hospital setting and requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions.
