Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at the Minnesota Veterans Home in Preston. As an LPN, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality care to our residents, working collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team to promote their well-being, health, and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver care within the LPN scope of practice, as defined by the Minnesota Nurse Practice Act, for cognitively and physically disabled residents.
  • Work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team to promote the well-being, health, and safety of residents in a person-centered, long-term care environment.
  • Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing treatments, and providing emotional support to residents and their families.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss resident care plans, share knowledge, and coordinate services.
  • Document resident care and progress in a timely and accurate manner, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA guidelines.
Requirements
  • Licensed in Minnesota as a Practical Nurse with no restrictions.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, follow instructions, and take clear notes.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.

  • Experience working in a long-term care environment.
  • Experience working with Veterans.
