Job Overview

As a Senior Project Manager at Priority Power Management LLC, you will oversee the engineering, procurement, and construction phases of substation, transmission, and distribution projects valued between $3 million and $50 million. Your primary goals will be to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with project specifications.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Take full ownership of project schedules, cost and revenue forecasts, and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project development, engineering, project controls, procurement, financial planning, accounting, and legal departments.
  • Manage project execution from development through to completion and handover to the client.
  • Report on project performance metrics such as cost, schedule adherence, contract compliance, safety, and risk management.
  • Work closely with the EHS Manager to maintain a safe working environment and adhere to safety policies.
  • Ensure quality management through established quality assurance programs.
  • Negotiate change orders and manage contract obligations with clients and contractors.
  • Facilitate project meetings with stakeholders to ensure alignment and address any issues.
  • Coordinate the acquisition of necessary permits and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Utilize critical thinking to effectively communicate project risks and opportunities to team members at all levels.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A minimum of 5 years of project management experience in utility-scale electrical infrastructure.
  • A Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering, civil engineering, mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, or project/construction management.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in contract negotiation and compliance with EPC agreements.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • A self-motivated approach with the ability to work independently.
  • Experience in managing client expectations throughout project execution.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and project management software such as Procore and NetSuite.
  • Experience with project scheduling tools like Microsoft Project or Oracle P6.
  • The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and travel as required.
